Scripture: Mark 6:16 But when Herod heard thereof, he said, It is John, whom I beheaded: he is risen from the dead. Transcript: And now, Admonition, brought to you by the Collierville Church of Christ. Mark 6:16 we read this, But when Herod heard thereof, he said, it is John, whom I beheaded, He was risen… Herod believed that Jesus, and the miracles that he was performing, and because of those things, that Jesus was John the Baptist returned from the dead. Herod was afraid because Herod knew what he had done was wrong. Herod knew that his judgment of John was unjust and that he had only done it because of her Herodias. We need to be certain that we live our lives different from Herod. We need to be certain that we live righteously. We need to be certain that we live in a way that we can stand before God on the Day of judgment and know that we lived in good conscience, not like Herod.
