A Short Thought about Doing Good

“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it. Do not say to your neighbor, “Go, and come again, tomorrow I will give it”–when you have it with you. Do not plan evil against your neighbor, who dwells trustingly beside you.” (Proverbs 3:27-29, ESV)

The ability to do good is available to all of us. It sits before us every day in our interactions with others at work, around town or within our families. Are we utilizing what we have before us? It does not have to be involved in any way with money. It may be an act of kindness, a word of graciousness, a task of humble service. Let us be looking for opportunities to do good. It is within our power each day and it will bless the lives of all those around us.
